Vote Today! Select the Democrats who will defeat Republicans in November. #rgv

29 May

Primary Election Day is here! Today is your last chance to select the Democratic nominees who will defeat Republicans in November.
The polls are open from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. You can find your voting location here. A list of most of the Democratic candidates is available on our website.
Remember that the photo ID voter suppressionlegislation is not in effect for this election. Any one of the following documents are acceptable forms of identification:

  • Your voter registration card;
  • A driver’s license or personal identification card issued to you by Texas or another state (even if the license or card has expired);
  • A form of identification that contains your photograph and establishes your identity;
  • A birth certificate or other document confirming birth that is admissible in a court of law and establishes your identity;
  • Your United States citizenship papers;
  • Your United States passport;
  • Official mail addressed to you by a governmental entity; or
  • A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address.

Republicans took our state through the most anti-children, anti-senior, anti-immigrant, and anti-woman legislative session in recent memory. They decimated public education, deliberately underfunded Medicaid, attempted to enact Arizona-style immigration legislation, mandated invasive sonograms and endangered women’s health. If you’re tired of Republicans legislating these crazy ideas, make sure you come out and vote today in the Democratic Primary to select the candidates who will help us take back our state!
